NWLLCC & Whatcom Waves in partnership with Sergiy Kovalenkov (Hempire) and Ashley Stallworth (Bio Fiber Industries), are putting on a Hemp-Lime construction Workshop in July 2024!  There are two registration options -  a Hemp-Lime seminar, Q&A, & Networking Reception the evening of the Friday the 12th or a three day education and hand-on experience July 12th,13th and 14th (which includes the seminar).

July 12th ​

Welcome reception & classroom presentation from Hempire’s CEO/Founder Sergiy Kovalenkov. Q&A and networking reception with light food and refreshments. Seminar and Reception location information coming soon.

Friday 4pm-8pm. There is an option to pay for just this session if you want to learn about hemp-lime without the hands-on experience on Saturday and Sunday.

July 13th

1st day of hands on experience working with hemp-lime in a cast in place system. Workshop begins at 10am, break for lunch approximately from 1-2pm, back to hands-on learning, working & participation from 2-5pm. We will be providing a detailed agenda with transportation and/or carpooling arrangement after registration closes on June 30th.

 

Coffee, tea, water and snacks provided throughout the day.

July 14th

Last day of hands on learning & experience with Biofiber Industries and Hempire. Similar format to day 2. Day starts at 10am with lecture, Q&A and recap of day 1 lessons. Break for lunch around 1230 or1pm and ending the seminar and afternoon around 430 or 5pm.

FAQ

• How much does it cost? We have two options: The three day weekend workshop with meals is $250 or you can register just the information seminar on Friday, July 12th for $50. We do have a few scholarships available and opportunities to volunteer in the future. Please email us at northwestllcc@gmail.com or visit our website at www.nwllcc.com

• Where is the workshop located? We are in Bellingham, WA. Our address will be provided upon registration and workshop fee.

• What if I just want to learn more about Hemp-Lime Building? We have a $50 option for just attending the seminar, Q&A and networking reception on Friday the 12th.

• Do I need to bring anything with me to the workshop? We encourage you to bring a reusable water bottle and something for taking notes. Lime has a high pH that can cause skin burns. We will provide safety glasses and gloves if you need them, but please bring clothes that you don’t mind getting dirty and protect your skin.
